Another 1st day of school
One thing that cured me of my boredom was this girl in one of the classes that had tourette's syndrome. It was a very interesting situation. Everyone was waiting in the classroom in dead silence, like I mentioned, and then she comes in and starts grunting randomly and twitching. I smiled at her and she smiled back with the expression like, "I am not crazy, I'm nice" and then proceeded to uncontrollably flip off the class and stick out her tongue at us. I felt bad for her because I knew she had tourettes, but I could tell it was really disruptive and uncomfortable for everyone else.
The professor came in and started his syllabus and then realized she was blurting out profanities and flailing her arms and asked if she had a question. She replied, "I have tourettes syndrome". He was clueless... and speechless at that moment. At the end of class when she left, he asked the rest of the class if her rude gestures and cuss words were directed at him or just part of the syndrome. It was kind of funny. I pondered her situation and felt sympathy for her.
Well, I decided that I cannot take that class, but not because of her, but I wasn't expecting a photo 100 class to cost me over $250 for all the materials, including a 35mm camera, which I don't have, nor plan to use. So, I decided to stick with my first choice, digital photography, since I already have a camera and it doesn't require all the darkroom stuff. Besides, I could probably teach myself the basics from a book, right?
Brandon also started another semester this week at CSUSM, actually, his LAST semester, hopefully. He also started working with his dad in Poway doing Financial Planning & Life Insurance. He is excited to get back into school and work after a nice long Christmas break.
Kauai was awesome and spending time with the fam for Christmas was great too. I will have to write about that sometime. Until then, thanks for reading my randomness.

Bummer about the photo class. I hear the teachers of the 35mm class are really good. I would love to take a digital photographing class though. How fun!
Thanks again for babysitting last night! We owe you one!
