Beach and a Date
It was a pretty perfect weekend to make up for weeks of sickness stuck at home. We went to the beach and Dean was so happy playing with the rocks and sand, he hardly noticed the water which is good cuz it's freezing, don't be decieved by the sunshine. 
Then we left Dean at Gma & Gpa's for a long overdue date. We got some delicious ice cream and then took a little hike to burn it off :) Brandon realized he's lived in Poway for 20 years and had never been to Sycamore Canyon so we checked it out. It was beautiful despite being burned in the Cedar Fire just 5 years ago. We plan to go back and ride our bikes if anyone wants to join us.
And here's just a random pic of Dean looking cool. He's growing up so fast, talking all the time and asserting his independence every chance he gets. He is so close to being potty trained, he goes on the toilet several times everyday but he just can't seem to remember to go and hold it. My favorite words that he says are "smoovie" when he wants a smoothie, "sweep" for sleep, and what sounds like "naked McQueen" for Lightening McQueen. Next post will likely be announcing whether Dean will have a brother or sister.
