I've been trying to keep track of all the funny things Dean has said lately, but there are so many. For 3 1/2 years old he seems pretty smart to me. The other day he saw that we have the movie Spiderman in our cupboard and I didn't even know he knew about Spiderman when he asked to watch it. I said, "Sorry, it is too scary for kids" and his response was, "No, it's just a man in a costume Mom."

The other day he saw that we have the movie Spiderman in our cupboard and I didn't even know he knew about Spiderman when he asked to watch it. We've been reading books about dinosaurs lately and I was reading about the asteroids that may have killed the dinosaurs and he asked, "Where do asteroids come from?" Man, it is hard to explain outerspace to a 3 yr. old when I don't even understand it all myself. Another dinosaur question he asked randomly yesterday while I was driving, "Do you think all dinosaurs are carnivores?"
He has been interested in Spanish lately and asked me how to say mommy in Spanish, so I told him "Mama" and he wasn't convinced. I like it when he asks me about Spanish so I can try to recall the 5 years I took.
We were sitting in Dean's room yesterday and he sat on the fouton and said, "If we moved the TV in here it would be funner." Then he climbed under the fitted sheet and said he was pretending to be in my belly. And of course he asked, "where do babies come from?" and I said, "mommy's belly" but he wasn't satisfied, "but before that?"
He shocked me the other day and started singing the states song. We occasionally sing it to him before bed, I didn't realize he was paying attention. He sang it almost perfectly. I will try to get it on video. What 3 year old do you know that can recite the United States? Even I didn't know that song until Brandon taught it to me 3 years ago.

Tonight Brandon and Dean were talking about how Dalila used to be in my belly and Dean said, "I can help you make another baby." And Brandon said, "I don't know if we will have any more babies." And Dean said, "Come on! You can make another one." I couldn't help but laugh out loud.
