Home Sweet Home
After over a year of house hunting and 6 years in an apartment, we finally got a great little house in a great part of Escondido.

Brandon and I labored for over a week painting and fixing up our house to make it feel like our own. We painted every surface, ripped out the old carpet, replaced all outlets, switches, and door knobs. Installed a new cooktop and oven not to mention packing, moving and unpacking and an amazing amount of cleaning. Brandon and I must have lost 20 lbs. combined. Meanwhile, the kids were passed around our family and friends and had no clue what we were doing.

Here are the kids enjoying the new carpet for the 1st time.
Thank goodness it is all over and we are finally settled. We still have a lot of projects on our "someday" list, but for now we are just enjoying having a yard, a garage, a laundry room and more space between us and our neighbors.

Dean and Brandon work together in the yard every weekend. It's still a work in progress. Hopefully soon we will have grass for the kids to play in. Sadly we've been here for 3 months and Dalila has yet to set foot in our yard because it's mostly dirt.

It feels like home now and we are excited to see our kids grow up here.
